Indurent secures 10-year lease with major European manufacturer Soudal Group
Indurent, a leading developer, owner, and operator of industrial and logistics space across the UK, has signed a 10-year lease with Soudal Group, the largest independent European manufacturer of sealants, adhesives and polyurethane foams, for c.50,000 sq ft of industrial and logistics space at Indurent Park Tamworth.
Located in Staffordshire, Indurent Park Tamworth forms part of Indurent’s significant Midlands portfolio, which in total spans over 9.5 million sq ft. The thriving 32-acre distribution site is ideally located with excellent connectivity to junction 10 of the M42 and with access to Birmingham City Centre in approximately 35 minutes.
Soudal, along with Indurent Park Tamworth’s other tenants, including Moonpig, Winit (UK) Ltd, and Super Smart Service Ltd, benefit from being within five minutes of the Birmingham Intermodal Freight Terminal (BIFT), which is operated by the UK’s foremost multimodal transport and container handling specialists, Maritime Transport. Birmingham Airport is also readily accessible, being only 14 miles away.
“Soudal’s decision to establish its next phase of growth at Indurent Park Tamworth is a strong endorsement of both the quality of our developments and the strategic strength of the Midlands as a logistics hub. With excellent connectivity, a skilled local workforce, and a best-in-class, sustainable specification, this site exemplifies the value we aim to deliver across our portfolio.”
George Goldsmith, Senior Asset Manager at Indurent,
“The opening of our new Tamworth warehousing facility marks a significant step in our growth strategy for the UK market. The warehouse will operate simultaneously with our current operations in Tamworth, dramatically increasing our warehouse capacity and facilitating our plans for future growth. The new premises will enable us to continue delivering exceptional levels of service to our valued customers as we expand.”
Michael Gamble, Managing Director at Soudal (UK) Ltd
The Tamworth development has been built to the Indurent Standard and achieved an EPC A rating. Soudal’s unit benefits from Smart LED lighting throughout, which reduces energy consumption by up to 75%, with the space including a 10m clear internal height, three docks and 2-level access doors with a secure yard providing 40m depth, and 35 car parking spaces.
Indurent has worked closely with Soudal over the past six months and will deliver a bespoke refurbishment, including fit-out elements, ensuring a smooth transition and minimising any delay between occupation and becoming operational later this year.
