At Indurent Park Derby, roof space alone couldn’t meet the operational energy demands associated with EV charging and future customer needs. A different approach was required to generate on site renewable energy without compromising building performance.
Indurent Park Derby
Innovative solar canopies powering future ready infrastructure.
The Challenge
Our Solution
We installed our first solar PV canopy within the multi storey car park, over 6,674 sq ft of productive PV coverage. The panels were selected using circular economy principles, incorporating recyclable components and manufacturing processes fuelled by renewable energy.
The canopy generates significant power offsetting around 20 tonnes of carbon emissions compared with grid electricity. Versus standard specification panels, the selected solution also delivered embodied carbon savings, demonstrating how innovative procurement can support lower carbon outcomes.
